1. Who We Are

Tied is a wedding website builder operated by Tied Website Application Services, a business registered in the Philippines under [DTI/SEC Registration No. XXXXXXXXX]. We can be reached at privacy@tied.wedding.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our service.

Account data (from the couple):

  • Full names of both partners
  • Email address
  • Password (hashed — we never store it in plain text)
  • Wedding date
  • Chosen subdomain slug

Site content (provided by the couple):

  • Wedding details, event venues, photos uploaded to the gallery, background music or audio files, entourage names, sponsor names, registry links, and any other content added to the wedding website

Guest list data (provided by the couple):

  • Guest names
  • Number of companions allowed per guest

RSVP data (submitted by guests):

  • Guest name as entered on the RSVP form
  • Attendance status (attending / not attending)
  • Companion names

Payment data:

  • We do not store card numbers or GCash/Maya credentials. All payment processing is handled by PayMongo, Inc. and subject to their privacy policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and amount.

Referral agent data:

  • Name, mobile number, GCash/Maya number, and commission records for approved referral agents

Technical data (collected automatically):

  • IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, timestamps — collected via analytics tools for service improvement

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Create and maintain your wedding website and account
  • Process your one-time publish payment via PayMongo
  • Operate the RSVP system on your behalf
  • Send transactional emails (site expiry warnings, payment confirmations)
  • Process referral agent commissions and payouts
  • Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary:

All providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.

5. Guest Data and the Couple's Responsibility

When a couple uploads a guest list to Tied, they are the data controller for that guest data under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Tied acts as a data processor on the couple's behalf.

Couples are responsible for:

  • Ensuring they have the right to share their guests' names with Tied
  • Informing guests that their name will be used to process RSVPs on the couple's wedding website

6. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active and for 90 days after your wedding date
  • Post-expiry: After site expiry, we retain your data for 30 additional days to allow export, then it is permanently deleted
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Philippine tax law (BIR regulations)
  • Referral commission records: Retained for 7 years

You may request early deletion of your account and data by emailing privacy@tied.wedding.

7. Your Rights Under RA 10173

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure / Blocking — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object — object to the processing of your data
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format (CSV export available in your dashboard)
  • File a complaint — with the National Privacy Commission at www.privacy.gov.ph

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@tied.wedding. We will respond within 15 business days.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only:

  • Session cookies (to keep you logged in)
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics — you may opt out via browser settings or google.com/settings/ads)

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical safeguards including:

  • HTTPS encryption on all pages
  • Passwords hashed using bcrypt
  • Row-level security on our database (Supabase RLS)
  • Payment data handled entirely by PayMongo (PCI-DSS compliant)

No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours as required by law.

10. Children's Privacy

Tied is not intended for use by persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
